Spring is here and we have been enjoying some lovely warm weather during the last week.
You need to make sure you are wearing a hat outside on sunny days and also make sure you drink lots of water.
Check out these pictures, how do we know its spring time?

Sandwich Day
Yesterday we really enjoyed our technology day.
We worked through different tasks to help us plan our own healthy sandwiches including looking at healthy and unhealthy foods, taste testing some foods and brainstorming ideas of foods that go in sandwiches.
We then planned and made our own sandwiches.
here are some of our finished products.

Litterthon
This afteroon the sun came out just in time for our Litterthon.
We walked down 2 streets looking for litter to pick up. Our class did a wonderful job and managed to fill a lot of plastic bags with rubbish. We did a great job contributing to our local community by helping clean up and make everything look tidy.

Dental Nurse
Today the dental nurse came in and talked to us about how to keep our teeth healthy.
She showed us how to brush our teeth properly and we even got to put on gloves and try brushing with our pretend toothbrushes.
We learnt brush, spit, bed!
So now we can try and keep our teeth healthy and eat less sugary foods to keep them even healthier.

Health Nurse
Yesaterday the health nurse came to visit us in our classroom.
She talked to us about germs and bacteria and making sure we wash our hands properly. She told us that we needed to sing the happy birthday song twice when we are washing hands and taught us how to make sure we get all the grms off our hands when we are washing them. We then put some special gel on our hands and washed them, the the nurse used a special light to show us where the germs would be left on your hands. Most people still had germs around their ginfer nails.

Rugby World Cup 2011
With the rugby world cup starting next Friday, we have all been put into groups to find out some more information about some of the different countries that are in the World Cup. Miss Billyard choose the top 8 countries for us to find information about. They Australia, NZ, South Africa, France, England, Wales, France, Ireland and Argentina. We started looking at different information in the library to look at what their flags looks like, where they are in the world and some other interesting facts. We will be making information posters about each of the countries.
Check this the official world cup site it has got some interesting information on it.
