We are using adjectives to help with our descriptions. They are words to describe something. So the red balloon or the soft rug.

We are concentrating this week on editing our work.
Today we spent a long time making changes to our work to make it better, then we worked with a buddy to make more changes and check it all made sense.

WALT- Read through my work and make changes
Volcanos are brown because they were made like that. Lava is very hot its tumbling down the volcano very very fast I got to stop it but how? OOOow!!!! That hot I burnt my foot now the other one. Now that really hot now there red, I’ll have to have a rest.
Morgan
WALT- write sentences of different lengths
Suddenly I see a volcano I think it going to burst suddenly it stops. It got louder and louder then really louder then it burst. Then all the people ran away. Lava got closer to my feet it was rushing towards me. But I ran super fast and I got away.

WALT- Start using smilies, alliteration and onomatopoeias.
A grey snowy mountain is still and there is no noise. Suddenly a loud,shuddering noise comes, out from under the ground. Boiling, hot red lava is getting hotter and hotter. BANG!Lava shoots out the top of the mountain. CRASH! Grey rocks fiercely hit the hard ground. People run fast and scream loud. It’s so loud people are blocking there ears. Hot lava flows down the mountain. HOT! HOT! HOT!
Today we were writing cards to the Marae to say thank you for letting us visit. We told them what we liked about the Marae as well.

The last 2 days we have been doing our writing based around Autumn and the leaves falling from the trees.

The leaves fall off to the ground. I can see yellow leaves fall off the trees. I see leaves on the trees. I see leaves fall off the trees.

Autumn is here. Autumn is only in April, May and June. Leaves float beautifully across the blue cloudy sky. They are yellow, orange and brown. The wind whooshes through the sky and the wind makes the leaves twirl and swirl down to land on the green, green grass. Wiggly veins wiggle through the cranky leaf. Crunchy yellow leaves fall to the ground in front of my face. Wow! What a colourful leaf. Red, yellow, orange and green. Colourful as a rainbow because rainbows are very colourful.

Autumn is so windy and cold. Some trees have very beautiful leaves. The whooshing wind blows the leaves off trees. The wind is whooshing in my face. Leaves are yellow and red. I can play in the leaves. I like playing in the leaves because it is Autumn. Wow! I like Autumn.

I’m crunching leaves around my feet and it feels nice. Strong wind blows around yellow leaves. My eyes can see leaves flying in the air. I jump up in the air and I catch the leaves. That was super, duper, fantastic. I got a handful of them. Special leaves are nice and I have have got a tree at my house and it is almost gone. It has four more on the tree. Autumn is for having fun. At Autumn leaves fly around in the air. They are yellow, orange and have patterns.
